Guide: Giving away
Whatever is still usable you pass on for free — no price, no fee and no payment through Fundort.
1. Create the listing
Choose the type “Giving away” when you list. The listing has no price and is for pickup only — there is no shipping here. Photos and an honest description of the condition help, so that nobody travels for nothing.
2. People get in touch
Anyone who wants it taps “I'll gladly take it” and writes to you in the chat. Because no money is involved, you may exchange address and phone number there to arrange the pickup. You decide who gets it — Fundort does not impose an order.
3. Mark it as handed over
Once it is gone, mark the listing as handed over. That closes the listing and takes it out of search. Unlike a sale, only you confirm the handover here — the other side does not have to do anything.
4. Costs and limits
Giving away costs nothing: no listing fee, no commission. Because no money runs through Fundort, there is no buyer protection here either. If you state who received the item when marking it, the two of you can rate each other afterwards. Asking for money on a giveaway listing breaches the terms of use — use a sale listing for that.
