How booking works (accommodation/item)

Pick a period – the price can vary by season and room type. Optional add-ons are possible.

You send a booking request; the host confirms it, proposes a different period or declines. The contact details are released only once they confirm. As a guest you pay Fundort nothing — the brokerage fee is borne by the host. You pay for the stay itself directly to the host, on their terms. If a request stays unanswered, it expires automatically once the requested date begins — it cannot be fulfilled by then anyway, and you get a decline instead of waiting indefinitely.

Use the chat for follow-up questions (arrival, details, house rules). Binding confirmations and status arrive by email and notification.

The cancellation terms stated by the provider in the listing apply. You can cancel up to the start of the appointment or the stay — not after that. If someone does not turn up, the provider reports it as a no-show; anything else you settle directly between you.

For accommodation the price is stated 'per night'. The total is the number of nights in your chosen period; season and room type can affect the nightly price.

Many places list points in the surroundings (e.g. sights, restaurants, ski lifts). For each entry you see the distance in metres or kilometres and the time on foot or by car – so you can judge the location before booking.

Click a room's gallery or its name and a window shows you everything about it: large images to browse, the room size in square metres, the beds and the amenities grouped by area (e.g. bathroom, view, room facilities). If the host lists several bed variants – say 1 double bed or 2 single beds – these are alternatives: you get one of them. From the window you can take the room straight into your request.

If the place offers extras such as breakfast, parking or a crib, you select them before sending your request and set the quantity. The price is added to the breakdown right away, so you always see the total. Items marked mandatory are always included and cannot be deselected – they are already part of the amount.
