What may I list?

This content is not permitted on any marketplace and will be rejected:

• unlawful, misleading or rights-infringing listings
• weapons, explosives, fireworks and other hazardous substances
• Radar detectors and laser jammers — selling, owning and fitting them is a criminal offence in Switzerland (Art. 57^b SVG)
• Devices and services for tampering with the odometer reading
• Emissions tampering — AdBlue emulators, particulate filter removal and engine software without type approval
• Contact details in text or images, to move the deal off Fundort — for jobs, property and giveaways contact details are allowed
• narcotics, prescription medicines, anabolic steroids and doping agents
• protected animal species and products derived from them
• official identity papers, passports and driving licences, as well as diplomas and certificates – including genuine ones
• counterfeits and plagiarised goods
• pirated media, cracked software, resold or shared streaming subscriptions, stolen credentials and data sets
• spam, meaning identical listings posted repeatedly

The following is not generally prohibited – we still do not want it on Fundort:

• politics: politicians, parties, election campaigning, slogans, symbols and propaganda
• proselytising or ideological propaganda – selling religious objects and books of course remains fine
• erotic and sexual content, including worn underwear and used hygiene or fetish items
• private photos of people where a person is the main subject – product photos in which someone wears or demonstrates the item are fine
• MLM, multi-level distribution, direct marketing and work-from-home offers
• loans and financial services without a licence
• weight-loss offers and esoteric services such as clairvoyance or fortune-telling
• gambling, betting and lottery tickets
• tobacco products, e-cigarettes and alcohol
• tickets above face value
• pure advertising for third-party websites or products
• fantasy prices that clearly have nothing to do with the item

Your phone number, email address or a link do not belong in a listing – not in the text, not in the title, not on an image. The reason is not pedantry: as soon as the deal happens outside Fundort, buyer protection, secure payment and reviews no longer apply. Your contact details are exchanged automatically anyway once a transaction comes about.

For the same reason, references to other marketplaces, classifieds sites or auction platforms do not belong in a listing – not even as a passing mention or a price comparison. Where else you sell is your business; it simply does not go in your listing here.

Location is expressly not meant by this: you may name the municipality, the neighbourhood, the surroundings and a meeting point without an address. For rentals, holiday lets and real estate the location is the very core of the offer.

Every listing goes through an automatic check when you save it – text and images, in every language, including paraphrases and dialect. What is clear-cut is rejected immediately. What is unclear goes to our team, rather than slipping through on suspicion or being blocked on suspicion.

Listings involving live animals or animal products are always looked at by hand before they go online.

You are always told the reason, including the category it failed on. Usually it is enough to revise that passage and save again.
