Reviews

After a completed transaction, buyer and seller can review each other. That is how trust becomes visible. Both reviews stay hidden until both have been submitted — so nobody sees what was written about them before they have written their own.

How to review

After closing you get a reminder and leave short, fair feedback about the other party.

Who sees my review?

Reviews are public on the profile and feed into the trust indicator (positive rate).

Fairness

Reviews must be factual. Unfair or non-compliant reviews can be moderated by our team.

Replying to a review

If you received a review, you can reply to it publicly — factual and editable any time. Your reply appears right below the review on your profile.

Reporting a review

If you consider a review you received unfair or non-compliant, you can report it with a reason. Our team reviews the report and decides whether the review stays or is removed — you'll be notified of the outcome.

When your review is being checked

Every review is automatically checked for disallowed content before it is published. In the vast majority of cases it appears immediately. If the check is inconclusive, your review goes to our team first — it is then not yet public, and you will find it in your account under “Your reviews being checked”. If it is approved, it appears automatically. If it is rejected, you receive a message with the reason and can adjust the text and submit it again — you do not have to write it from scratch.

How long can I leave a review?

You can leave a review up to 90 days after the transaction is completed. The window is deliberately longer than the buyer protection deadline: an open case should never cause the review option to expire in the meantime. After that the transaction is closed — for reviews as well.

Reviews after an upheld claim

If a purchase was reversed following a buyer protection claim, you can still leave a review as the buyer. The review is visibly marked as “purchase was reversed” so readers can put it in context. The seller cannot leave a review in this case — a counter-review after a lost dispute would not be feedback but retaliation.

Both reviews appear at the same time

When you submit a review it is not visible to anyone at first — not even to the person you reviewed. It appears once the other side has reviewed you as well. Both reviews are then published at the same moment. If the other side never reviews, your review is published anyway once the deadline passes — nobody can suppress a review by staying silent. From that moment on, however, reviewing is closed for this transaction: whoever lets the deadline pass can no longer review. Otherwise you could simply wait, read the other side’s review and only then respond — which is exactly what should no longer be possible.

Why we do it this way

Because otherwise an honest review becomes expensive. Anyone who openly describes a bad experience risks retaliation on many platforms: the other side reads the criticism and answers with an equally bad review — not because there is anything to complain about, but as payback. The result is review sections containing almost nothing but praise, which is exactly why nobody believes them any more. If neither side knows what the other is writing, nobody can react — and then what is written is what actually happened. That is the whole point: you should dare to be honest, and be able to rely on what you read about others.

What does not change

You can still report an unfair or untrue review — we look at it and remove it if it breaks the rules. And you can still reply publicly to any review you receive; your reply appears directly beneath it. The only thing that goes away is the option to answer a review with a counter-review before it is even visible.
