Service: listing or booking?

You can offer a service in two ways: as a contact listing (Services & jobs) or as a bookable appointment (Booking). They differ in cost, convenience and how they work.

Two ways

Listing: an ad with contact details — interested people get in touch and you arrange the appointment directly between yourselves. Booking: customers book a specific appointment online, with a duration, opening hours and availability.

Cost

Listing: a one-off listing fee when it goes live, no commission on jobs. Booking: listing is free, instead a brokerage fee only on a confirmed booking — CHF 5 (booking value up to 500), CHF 15 (up to 2000), CHF 30 (above that). Always paid by the provider, never by the guest.

Refund & no-show

The commission is only charged once you confirm — before that there are no costs. From your confirmation on, the service is considered rendered; the fee is not refunded afterwards, not even on a cancellation or no-show. If a guest does not turn up, you report the no-show: this automatically creates a negative review of the guest.

Convenience & process

Listing: a static ad with contact via chat, phone or email — you organise appointments yourself. Booking: availability calendar, binding booking request, confirm or decline, reviews and no-show protection.

Which one when?

Appointment-based services with fixed time slots like massage, hairdresser or coaching suit a booking. Job-based or individual services without a fixed schedule like trades, consulting or moving, as well as job listings, suit a listing.
